Abstract

Asthma is one of the most significant health issues, affecting roughly 300 million people worldwide. It affects children and adults of all ages and its prevalence is increasing, particularly among children. The objective of the study was evaluating drug prescription patterns for the treatment of asthma by using WHO prescribing indicators and level of medication adherence among patients. The prospective observational study was conducted at tertiary care government general hospital (SVRRGH) located at Tirupati, Balaji district, Andhra Pradesh state, India. The study was conducted for period of two months (October to November).
