Abstract

The Polypyrrole polymer composites containing ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) and Li2O have been investigated for structural properties. The compositions of the type PPy50 + Li2Ox + ZnO(50-x) NPs where x = 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, were prepared by employing ball milling method. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) techniques were used to characterize the structural properties of as prepared samples. The spherical cluster of ZnO nanoparticle crystallites are shown in the SEM patterns as being surrounded by amorphous PPy/ZnoNps-Li2O structures. XRD results revealed that both amorphous and Nano crystallite structures were present in the samples. Changes in the structural characteristics as well as the creation of complex nanocomposite clusters encircled by amorphous structures have been reported.
