Abstract

The ophthalmic suspension of fluorometholone, neomycin and benzalkonium chloride was prescribed for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the eye, infectious conjunctivitis, as well as bacterial eye infections. As the literature doesn’t show any analytical method for the estimation of these drugs in ophthalmic formulations and hence this study intended to develop a simple and and selective HPLC method for the separation and simultaneous quantification of fluorometholone, neomycin and benzalkonium chloride in ophthalmic formulations
