Increasing competition in the unorganized retail landscape has threated every retailer and utensils retailers are no exception to it. In order to survive and prosper retailers are finding ways, working out new strategies, models and practices. Core retailing and Scrambled retailing are two of business models in retailing. How these two retail models (retail formats) function to accomplish profitability primarily, in addition to accomplishing non-primary business goals is the foundation of this research work.
