Palliative care is an essential component of end-of-life care, focusing on relieving suffering and improving the quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses. Nurses play a central role in delivering holistic and compassionate care to terminally ill patients and their families. This article examines the unique contributions of nurses in palliative care, including symptom management, communication, advocacy, and psychosocial support. Furthermore, it discusses the challenges and opportunities faced by nurses in delivering palliative care and explores the impact of their interventions on patient outcomes and end-of-life experiences.
