Abstract

Background: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) makes up 94% of oral malignancies, making oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) one of the ten most common malignant tumours. Multipurpose cells like macrophages and myofibroblasts play a critical part in how these tumours behave biologically.
