Abstract

This study examines the relationship between employee motivation and organizational productivity in both public and private sector enterprises. The research was conducted through the analysis of survey data collected from over several employees from both sectors. The outcomes of the study show that there is a strong positive correlation between employee motivation and industrial productivity. Motivated employees are more likely to be engaged in their work, to be more productive, and to have higher job satisfaction. The results also indicate that there isvariation between public and private sector employees in terms of motivation and productivity. Employees of private sector are more likely to be encouraged by financial rewards and public sector employees are more likely to be motivated by job security. Implications for organizational policy and practice are discussed.
