The Indian automobile industry is aptly known as the sunrise sector of the economy. Due to its forward and backward linkages, it has a strong multiplier effect. It is a barometer to measure how well the economy is performing. Future market augmentations are projected to be driven by new trends including the electrification of vehicles.
