Abstract

Healthcare ethics play a crucial role in guiding research and clinical practice to ensure the well-being and rights of patients and participants are upheld. This review article explores the ethical considerations in healthcare research and clinical settings, focusing on the principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice. The article delves into the importance of informed consent, confidentiality, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies in healthcare. Furthermore, it discusses the challenges and dilemmas faced by healthcare professionals in balancing the pursuit of knowledge with ethical responsibilities. The review also examines the role of ethics committees, guidelines, and regulations in safeguarding ethical standards in research and clinical practice. Additionally, it highlights the significance of cultural competence and sensitivity in addressing ethical issues in diverse healthcare settings.
