Abstract
An inflammatory disease called periodontitis can eventually result in tooth loss and other serious systemic diseases by affecting the tissues that support the teeth.The catalase enzyme is produced by the CAT gene, which is observed in the 13th position on the short arm of chromosome 11.The CAT-21A/T polymorphism may enhance a person's susceptibility to a multitude of systemic diseases. Therefore, in this study, we investigated its contribution to the likelihood of developing chronic periodontitis.
