The work was to characterize the bioactive constituents present in three extracts such as ethanol, ethyl acetate and chloroform using GCMS analysis. The compounds recorded were carbohydrate, protein, saponins, alkaloids, and flavanoids, terpenoids, phenols, fatty acids. The identification of different biologically active compounds in these three solvents were made by correlating their peak areas and the retention times with literation and interpretation made by mean of mass spectra. The ethanol extracts showed the presence of a greater number of compounds.
