This case study examines the phenomenon of international migration of residents of Punjab, with a particular focus on their flight from Punjab to foreign destinations. Punjab is a state located in the India’s north-western region and is known for its fertile agricultural lands, rich cultural heritage, and diverse population. From the few past years, however, there has been a substantial rise in the number of people leaving Punjab to seek better opportunities abroad.
