Colourful pigments are produced by microorganisms as secondary metabolites for a range of purposes in daily life. The fungal mold Aspergillus niger is very well known to produce the black coloured Melanin pigment. The Melanin pigment produced by Aspergillus niger has been studied for its potential applications in the Pharmacological science. The present research was aimed to extract the Melanin pigment from Aspergillus niger and evaluate its Antimicrobial potential
