Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to develop and evaluate the potential use of Polymeric nanoparticles in the delivery of Diltiazem HCl. Nanoparticles were prepared with poly ethylene oxide (PEO) by solvent displacement technique stabilized by polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The Prepared nanoparticles were characterized for melting point, FTIR, Particle size, Morphology, drug content, entrapment efficiency, In vitro release. Melting point of Diltiazem HCl at 2120C. FTIR study indicates peaks implies that there was no incompatibility between drug and the excipient
