The inside designs of an object may be seen using X-ray computed tomography (CT) without having to actually open or cut it. In the experiments described in this article, X-ray computed tomography has been used to allow non-destructive testing, disappointment inspection, orperformance assessment of modern components and objects. Following is a review of the early history of the technology and how it relates to current non-destructive testing and assessment. The investigation of non-destructive testing techniques is being shaped by a few important inventive and financial trends.
