Abstract

All life depends on water, but this water is getting worse and worse every day. More than 70% of the country's fresh water in its liquid form is made unfit for consumption. Thus, it can be said that our life, or access to water, is currently unsafe. Not only does India face this issue, but other nations as well. It has an impact on oceans, rivers, lakes, and drinking water all over the world. As a result, it has negative effects on both the natural environment and human life's health and well-being. Numerous studies have been conducted on the potential of various pollution sources, including sewage discharge, industrial effluents, and agricultural runoff. The purpose of this study is to examine various factors that contribute to water pollution and to provide a general definition of the term. Overpopulation, agricultural practices, soil erosion, industrialization, and urbanization are the primary contributors to water pollution in the area under investigation.
