Abstract

The United Nations General Assembly adopted 'Agenda 2030' in 2015, which featured 17 overarching goals known as the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2018, the High-Level Political Conference agreed that, in order to accelerate SDG implementation, the local dimensions should be prioritised and efforts should be increased at the local level. Based on the notion of localising SDGs for impoverished countries, which would involve finding and implementing culturally suitable rural policies. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals closely reflect India's development strategy. Therefore, the present study seeks to analyze the programmes and schemes carried out in order to localise the Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030.
