Abstract

Falls among humans can have severe consequences, especially among elderly individuals. These incidents can lead to long-lasting physical impairments and even death. Falls pose a significant health issue that should not be underestimated. It is a social crave to prevent human falls but it is not fully possible because it is impractical to ensure full prevention. An effective approach to mitigate the effects of falls is the prompt detection of such incidents in real time. so that anemergency aid can quickly be provided which helps to reduce the severity of the fall ,results in abiding health consequences. With the increase in elderly population the demand for fall detection methods is highly increased. This study proposed is a non-invasive, vision-based system that does not require any wearable devices. This system can be implemented in various settings such as homes, hospitals, elderly care facilities, and rehabilitation centres.
