DMF SOLVATED CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF 3,3,6,6-TETRAMETHYL-9-(3-CHLORO PHENYL)-3,4,6,7,9,10-HEXAHYDROACRIDINE-1,8-DIONE

Abstract


The dimethylformamide solvated crystal structure of  3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-9-(3-chlorophenyl)-3,4,6,7,9,10-hexahydroacridine-1,8-dione (C26 H33 Cl N2 O3)  crystallizes in the triclinic space group P -1with unit cell parameters:  a=9.0814(4), b=11.5650(5), c=12.1354(5) Ǻ, a=91.806(3)º, β=96.450(3)º, g= 104.565(4)º and Z = 2. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares procedures to a final R-value of 0.056 for 2691observed reflections. The central ring of the acridinedione system adopts a boat conformation and the two outer rings adopt sofa conformations. The solvent moiety (Dimethylformamide) is involved in the existence of  intra and intermolecular C-H...O interactions.
